Confirmation
Confirmation is the process through which our young people affirm the faith that their parents brought to their baptism. In infant baptism, as the child is claimed by the Spirit, parents, the congregation, and the pastor make promises to raise the child in faith, to instruct them in God's Word and to bring them to the Lord's table. Over the student's two year catechism instruction they prepare themselves to take these promises on for themselves and claim, publicly, their gift of faith.
